Wike Responds to Fubara’s Threats: “I’ve Been Using My Red Biro for 14 Years”

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has responded to the recent remarks made by Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara, regarding his infamous “red biro” used to target his foes.

Fubara and Wike
During a New Year’s service at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Opobo Town, Fubara declared that his red biro was still in use and vowed to continue defeating his adversaries with it, saying, “The red biro is still filled. It’s still with me. Every enemy plan will continue to crash.”
However, Wike, through his media aide Lere Olayinka, fired back, pointing out that Fubara’s use of the red biro had been limited to just two years. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Olayinka wrote, “Someone who’s only been using the red biro for less than two years is boasting that ‘The red biro is still filled. It is still here with me.’”
He continued, “Let’s not forget that there’s someone who has been using the same red biro for 14 years and is still going strong.”
Wike’s comments served as a reminder of his long-standing influence, dismissing Fubara’s recent posturing as novice in comparison.
