Zinoleesky Leaves Marlian Music, Starts His Own Record Label

Nigerian singer Oniyide Azeez Adigun, widely known as Zinoleesky, has announced his exit from Marlian Music to launch his own label called Zinodict Music.
He made the announcement on his social media pages, where he also revealed plans to release a new song titled Nostalgia. His departure officially ends his long working relationship with music executive Naira Marley.
Before confirming his exit, Zinoleesky had posted several unclear messages online, suggesting he felt used and unfairly treated within the music industry. He explained that his decision was not just about himself but about pushing for fairness and better treatment for artists.
“I am standing up not just for myself but for every artist who has ever felt powerless. We deserve better,” he wrote.
His decision has attracted strong reactions, especially because of past controversies linked to the label. In 2023, his former labelmate Mohbad died shortly after leaving the group and raising concerns about how he was treated. At the time, Zinoleesky did not publicly comment, which led to criticism from some fans.
Now, two years after Mohbad’s death, many people see Zinoleesky’s move as an important step in his career. Although he did not directly mention Naira Marley in his recent statements, his decision to go independent clearly shows he has moved on from his former label.
