At least six individuals were killed, several were injured by unidentified gunmen in Abako, a community in Katsina Ala, Benue State, on the morning of August 11. The attack occurred around 5 AM, by burning two houses and attacking others with ammunitions


According to an anonymous eyewitness, the gunmen were youths from the local community who had been driven into hiding in the forest due to their past criminal activities. Ujaka house was razed by fire, which led to two burnt

Reports from FIRST CLASS GISTS indicate that two victims were burned alive in their homes, others ran away, while at least three were killed by gunfire. Among the deceased were Terka and Orhumba, both of whom were youths of Abako.
