15-Year-Old Girl Hires Hoodlums To Attack Her Mother’s New Husband In Lagos

On June 25, 2024, Kayode Adesile visited his new wife, Oluwaseun Omolara Olusola, in the Powerline area of Meiran, Lagos, unaware of the trouble that awaited him.
Adesile, an automobile technician, had recently reprimanded his wife’s 15-year-old daughter, Esther, for disrespecting her mother. This act of discipline angered Esther, who reportedly hired local thugs to assault her stepfather as revenge.
During one of his regular visits, Adesile was attacked by the thugs as he approached his wife’s residence. The assailants, led by a person known as Oluwakemi a.k.a. Honour, beat Adesile severely and filmed the incident on their phones.
Adesile recounted, “I reprimanded her for being rude to her mother, not knowing she would retaliate. They planned the attack knowing my routine visits. When I arrived on June 26, Esther signaled the thugs to attack me. I was beaten and humiliated while they recorded everything.”
Following the attack, the thugs went to the Meiran Police Station and falsely reported that Adesile had attacked them. When Adesile later reported the assault, he was initially detained based on the thugs’ false claims. However, it was eventually revealed that Adesile was the actual victim, and he was released on bail on June 27.
Oluwaseun, Adesile’s wife, expressed her distress over the incident. She revealed that her daughter was being manipulated by unscrupulous family members and neighbors. “Esther is from my previous marriage. Her father mistreated me until we separated. I’ve worked hard to provide for Esther and her siblings.”
She added, “Some people are using Esther to lie about my husband molesting her, aiming to take over my late mother’s property. My husband has never molested her; she is being used without realizing it.”
Efforts to get comments from the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Lagos Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, were unsuccessful at the time of this report.
