NFSAN OYO CHAPTER, CELEBRATE WORLD MENSTRUAL HYGIENE DAY WITH SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN OYO STATE

In a bid to fulfill our mandate of societal contribution and amplifying the voices of female students, the National Female Students Association of Nigeria (NFSAN) – Oyo State Chapter, under the leadership of Comr. Ogunwuyi Temitope Elizabeth, commemorated World Menstrual Hygiene Day with secondary school students.
The event aimed to empower young women with knowledge about their bodies and promote menstrual health. A speech was delivered emphasizing the importance of staying healthy and using sanitary pads effectively.
In her address, the Chairperson highlighted the necessity of recognizing and supporting female students’ needs, urging the state government and stakeholders to collaborate with NFSAN in distributing free pads across Oyo State.
The distribution of pads will continue in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, on the 30th of May, 2024.

Today, on the 28th of May, 2024, NFSAN Oyo State Chapter organized a program titled “Menstrual Hygiene Education For Secondary School Girls” at Queen School Apata, Ibadan. The activities included health talks, menstrual education, and pad distribution.
