Bauchi Commissioner Jalam and Driver Killed in Car Accident
Governor Bala Mohammed has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident.
A tragic car accident on Saturday night resulted in the deaths of the Bauchi State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Ahmad Aliyu Jalam, and his driver. The accident occurred on the Misau-Darazo highway.
Governor Bala Mohammed conveyed his condolences on Sunday, expressing profound sadness over the loss.
In an official statement, the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, remarked, “Governor Bala Mohammed, along with his cabinet colleagues, friends, family, and the many individuals whose lives were touched by Mr. Jalam, feels this loss deeply.”
The statement went on to praise Mr. Jalam as “a dedicated public servant whose unwavering commitment to the development and well-being of his local communities was evident. Throughout his career, he led numerous initiatives to enhance governance and community relations. Known for his tireless dedication, integrity, and compassion, Mr. Jalam’s contributions will be remembered and valued by all who knew him.”
The Governor will attend the funeral prayer for Mr. Jalam, which is scheduled for Sunday in Jalam, Dambam Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
