D’banj: ‘My Musical Journey is Incomplete Without Don Jazzy’
Renowned musician D’banj has paid tribute to his former business partner and producer, Don Jazzy, for his pivotal role in his career. The ‘Oliver Twist’ singer emphasized that his musical journey would be incomplete without Don Jazzy’s influence.
D’banj shared this sentiment on Tuesday while posting a video from his visit to Don Jazzy, where he handed him an invitation to his 20th-anniversary dinner in the music industry. He reflected on the nostalgic moment, recalling the significant milestones they achieved together.
In a post on his X account, D’banj wrote, “My 20-year journey cannot be complete without @DONJAZZY again! Giving him the invite to my anniversary dinner was a moment filled with nostalgia. As we both celebrate 20 years in the industry, I’m reminded of the countless memories and milestones we’ve shared together. Here’s to two decades of brotherhood, entertainment, and unwavering support. Love you always, Brother! OooSHeeeee.”
D’banj and Don Jazzy co-founded Mo’Hits Records in 2004, which disbanded in 2012 due to differing interests. Following the split, Don Jazzy established Mavins Record Label, while D’banj launched DB Records.
