Unknown Gunmen Kill Okada Ticket Collector In Ekiti
Gunmen have killed a ticket collector near Oke Isa Roundabout in Ado-Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State. The incident occurred early on Tuesday, but the victim’s identity remains unknown at this time.
The man, who was responsible for issuing tickets to commercial motorcyclists, was fatally shot by the gunmen, who quickly fled the scene according to witnesses. Kunle Asaolu, Chairman of the Okada Riders Association in Ekiti State, identified the victim as one of their colleagues.
Sunday Abutu, spokesperson for the Ekiti State Police Command, confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation has been initiated.
The body has been taken to the morgue at Ekiti State Teaching Hospital.
