How Security Guard Fatally Stabbed While settling a Dispute was killed
The Lagos Police Command has reported the death of Yusuf Akadogo, a private security guard, who was allegedly stabbed while trying to mediate a minor dispute. The incident was confirmed to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who stated that the assailant, an Okada rider, is currently at large.
SP Hundeyin detailed that the stabbing occurred last Thursday in the Idi-Araba area of Lagos State. Around 9:20 p.m. that evening, the police received a distress call from a local resident about a disturbance on Igbira Road, Idi-Araba.
Police officers quickly arrived at the scene, where an eyewitness recounted the incident. The witness reported that Akadogo had stepped in to defuse a minor quarrel between the Okada rider and another person. Unexpectedly, the Okada rider, whose identity has not been disclosed, attacked Akadogo, stabbing him in the stomach with a knife.
Despite being rushed to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) in Idi-Araba for emergency medical treatment, Akadogo unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
