Fatal Accident on Aramoko Ekiti Road: Casualties and Injuries
A tragic collision between a Toyota Hilux and an 18-passenger bus took place at Igbala junction in Aramoko Ekiti, resulting in three fatalities.
The bus driver, Mr. John Simon, reported that the accident was caused by the Hilux vehicle’s excessive speed. While his bus passengers were unharmed, the three individuals in the Hilux, traveling from Lagos, were killed instantly. Those who sustained serious injuries were promptly transported to the hospital by the police.
Eyewitness and local lawmaker Mr. Kareem Agunbiade blamed the accident on the deteriorating road conditions. He explained that the bus was navigating a rough section of the Igbala junction when the speeding Hilux emerged from a bypass, lost control, and collided with the bus.
Mr. Agunbiade, along with other concerned citizens, urged the Federal government to address the hazardous state of the Aramoko-Erio-Efon-Ilesha road. They stressed the need for immediate repairs to prevent future tragedies on this increasingly dangero
