How Eight individuals, including a naval staff, were kidnapped

Eight individuals, including a naval staff, were kidnapped on Monday night in Ibaka, Mbo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. The abduction took place at Classic Point Hotel, where gunmen seized the victims and took them to an undisclosed location, as reported by News360 Nigeria.
Confirming the incident on Tuesday, Timfon John, the Police Public Relations Officer for Akwa Ibom State Command, stated, “Upon receiving the information, Commissioner of Police CP Waheed Ayilara led a team of security personnel to the community. I can assure you that with the CP’s visit and other strategic approaches, normalcy will return.”
The naval authority in Akwa Ibom has not yet commented on the situation. This incident follows the recent abduction of a bus driver and 18 passengers traveling from Uyo to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, whose whereabouts are still unknown.
