Obi Condemns the Brutal Killing of Emir of Gobir, Alhaji Isa Bawa

Peter Obi
I am deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic news of the Emir of Gobir, Alhaji Isa Bawa, who was brutally murdered after being abducted by bandits who demanded a ₦60 million ransom. This heinous act underscores the worsening insecurity in Nigeria, where even esteemed leaders like the Emir are not spared from such violence. The relentless violence must be addressed urgently. I call on security agencies to enhance their efforts to combat this escalating threat.
My heartfelt condolences go out to the family and the people of Gobir and Sokoto State for the loss of their revered Emir. May Allah forgive his sins and grant him eternal peace in Aljannat al-Firdaus (paradise).
