See How Cleric Accuses Tinubu of Insensitivity Amid Fuel Price Increase

President Bola Tinubu

In Akure, Senior Pastor Adewale Giwa of Awaiting The Second Coming of Jesus Christ Church has criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his perceived insensitivity to the economic struggles of Nigerians, particularly in light of the recent rise in fuel prices.

Pastor Giwa’s comments come in response to the current price of petrol, which has soared to ₦1,200 per litre. He urged Nigerians to seek divine intervention to address the challenges posed by the President’s policies.

The pastor remarked, “I anticipated this hardship even before the 2023 presidential election and warned that the current administration would be more detrimental than the previous one under Muhammadu Buhari. The situation has reached a point where it feels like a return to military rule.”

Giwa criticized the President’s lack of empathy and called on those in power to consider the plight of ordinary citizens. “The current state is unprecedented,” he said, highlighting that petrol prices have surged to ₦1,300 per litre. “Politicians should remember that their time in power is temporary and show mercy to those struggling to survive.”
