UBA Awards N17 Million to 30 Customers

In honor of its 75th anniversary, United Bank for Africa Plc has distributed over N17 million among 30 customers as part of its August prize draw.
The event, which took place recently in Lagos, was conducted under the supervision of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission representatives.
The top tier of the draw saw 10 winners each receive N1 million. Notable winners included Joshua Izenobor, Chigozie Abel, and Cornelius Nwankwo. Another 10 customers were awarded N500,000 each in the second tier, with recipients such as Elizabeth Warekoromor and Deborah Ijeoma Simon. In the third tier, 10 more customers received N250,000 each, including Olusegun Oke and Salisu Adamu.
Shamsideen Fashola, UBA’s Group Head of Retail & Digital Banking, congratulated the winners and encouraged others to save more for a chance to win in future draws. “This is only the beginning of our legacy promotion. We aim to reward 75 winners in each tier, with 195 more customers set to be selected in the coming months. Our draws are fully transparent, and you could be our next millionaire,” Fashola said.
Alero Ladipo, UBA’s Group Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, highlighted that the draw was part of the bank’s commitment to appreciating customers and fostering a savings culture. “This initiative underscores our dedication to giving back and making our customers feel valued,” Ladipo noted.
