Man Exposed for Faking Religious Conversions to Scam Worshippers in Abuja Mosque

A surprising incident occurred at a mosque in Abuja on Friday, October 4, 2024, when a man was revealed to be a serial religion switcher, prompting worshippers to eject him. The individual was recognized for his practice of converting between Islam and Christianity to solicit financial support from unsuspecting congregants.
Former lawmaker Shehu Sani, who represented Kaduna Central in the 8th National Assembly, shared details of the incident on his X account. He noted that the man, whose name has not been disclosed, had repeatedly changed his religious affiliations at various places of worship to garner donations and gifts while pretending to seek assistance.
While Sani did not specify the mosque or its location, he described how worshippers acted swiftly upon recognizing the individual’s pattern of deception. His post highlighted the man’s tactics in manipulating the faith of others for personal gain.
