Presidency Addresses Criticism of Tinubu’s UK to France Trip

Bola Ahmed Tinubu
Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has addressed growing concerns over the President’s recent travels. After spending nine days in London, Tinubu has now traveled to France for unspecified engagements, which has sparked mixed reactions from the public.
On Friday, former Deputy Governor Masari posted on Facebook that he visited President Tinubu at his London residence and would accompany him to Paris.
The President’s extended absence during a time of economic difficulty has led to widespread discussion on social media about the timing of his travels.
In defense of Tinubu, Onanuga stated that the President is entitled to travel and conduct official business as he sees fit. He emphasized on his X account, “President Tinubu is on a two-week leave. He is not confined to the UK and is free to go wherever he wishes. He is still observing his leave.”
