Tinubu: How Renewed Hope Agenda Will Benefit Nigerians Despite Challenges

Bola Ahmed Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has assured Nigerians that his “Renewed Hope” agenda, though facing difficulties, will soon bring significant benefits to the populace.

Speaking at the funeral service for the late Chief Michael Adeniyi Koleosho at Ajegunle Baptist Church in Saki, Oyo State, Tinubu stressed the importance of infrastructure development for national unity and progress. Represented by Zaccheus Adedeji, Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue, he outlined his vision for connecting Nigeria through key infrastructure projects.

He highlighted the Lagos to Calabar coastal highway as a pivotal initiative that will enhance transportation and boost economic growth across regions. “This project is just the start; we are dedicated to establishing a network that links every part of Nigeria,” he said. “Our aim is to ensure no region is left behind as we work toward a more unified and prosperous nation.”

Tinubu acknowledged the legacy of Chief Koleosho, recognizing the former Secretary’s significant influence on his approach to governance and infrastructure. “Chief Koleosho was a humble man dedicated to hard work, and he will be deeply missed. His contributions to public service have shaped my decisions,” he stated.

He vowed to honor Koleosho’s memory by committing to initiatives that reflect his values. “We will ensure that his spirit of service inspires future generations,” Tinubu affirmed.

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde also paid tribute, urging political leaders to adopt a development-focused approach similar to that of Chief Koleosho. He emphasized the need for unity among political factions to achieve greater outcomes for the community.

Makinde highlighted Koleosho’s numerous contributions to Saki and Oyo State, announcing plans to rename Oke-Ogun Polytechnic in his honor and to rename a local road after him. He outlined several infrastructure initiatives, including the rehabilitation of key roads and the refurbishment of technical colleges in the region.

In his sermon, Reverend Israel Akanji, President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, urged attendees to focus on their spiritual aspirations and leave a lasting legacy of service. He emphasized that true fulfillment comes from uplifting others and encouraged the congregation to honor Chief Koleosho’s memory through their actions.

“Let us celebrate his life by committing ourselves to the values he cherished, and together, we can build a community that reflects his legacy,”Akanji concluded.
