FCT Minister Wike Was Not Prevented From Entering Aso Rock – Lere Olayinka Responds to Jackson Ude

Wike’s Role in Welcoming Indian PM: Jackson Ude’s Lies Exposed Again

Nyesome Wike
Earlier today, U.S.-based self-proclaimed journalist, Jackson Ude (@jacksonpbn), took to his X handle to spread falsehoods, claiming that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr. Nyesom Wike, was barred from Aso Rock. Ude also falsely suggested that Wike was intoxicated when he welcomed Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Saturday.
Normally, we would ignore such unsubstantiated and malicious claims from someone like Jackson Ude, knowing that he thrives on misinformation. However, given his pattern of making baseless accusations for personal gain, we feel compelled to set the record straight.
First, the FCT Minister, Barr. Wike, welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi as instructed by President Bola Tinubu. After receiving the Prime Minister at the airport, Wike personally escorted him to his hotel that Saturday evening.
On Sunday morning, Wike performed his official duties by accompanying Prime Minister Modi to the Aso Rock Presidential Villa.
To further discredit Jackson Ude’s lies, we are providing photos of the FCT Minister with the Indian Prime Minister both at the hotel and at the Presidential Villa, which should be enough to debunk Ude’s false narrative.
In an attempt to salvage his credibility, Ude has now shifted the narrative, questioning why the Prime Minister’s security team did not allow Wike to enter the hotel with Modi after the airport event. The truth is simple: Wike led the Prime Minister from the airport to the hotel, and the following morning, he took Modi to the Presidential Villa, where his official duty concluded.
Despite the facts, Jackson Ude continues to fabricate lies. This isn’t surprising, considering this is the same individual who previously claimed that former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello had fled Nigeria via the Niger Republic. Ude even accused the Minister of State for Defense, Bello Matawalle, of aiding Bello’s escape. However, the same Yahaya Bello, whom Ude claimed had fled the country, appeared at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja on September 18, 2024. Ude has not addressed this glaring contradiction.
Now, with concrete evidence and photos proving Wike’s official duties, Jackson Ude will likely continue spinning his web of lies to cover up his previous fabrications. However, as we’ve stated, we won’t waste further time engaging with someone who thrives on disinformation.
