Akpabio Backs Okpebholo: Why Edo’s New Governor Is Destined for Success

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has expressed strong confidence in Governor Monday Okpebholo’s ability to lead Edo State to new heights, citing his vision, humility, and alignment with the people’s aspirations as key factors for success.
During Okpebholo’s visit to his Uyo residence, Akpabio praised the governor’s leadership style and dedication, noting that Okpebholo’s actions spoke louder than words.
“Your Excellency, you are a man of few words, but your actions speak volumes,” Akpabio remarked. “The people of Edo have made no mistake in placing their trust in you. Your leadership is destined to bring about lasting transformation in the state.”
Akpabio highlighted Okpebholo’s early achievements, noting that within just a month of taking office, the governor had already instilled hope and optimism in the people. He emphasized that the Okpebholo administration is committed to progress and development.
“Your early efforts have provided the people of Edo with a clear view of the determination and preparedness of your government to move the state forward,” Akpabio said.
He also underscored the importance of Edo State’s partnership with the Federal Government under the All Progressives Congress (APC), predicting that this alignment would open doors to significant development opportunities for both Edo and the South-South region.
“By aligning with the Federal Government, Edo will gain better representation and more opportunities for growth and development,” Akpabio explained. “Governor Okpebholo’s leadership marks a pivotal moment not just for Edo, but for the entire South-South region.”
In response, Governor Okpebholo expressed his gratitude for Akpabio’s mentorship and reiterated his commitment to learning from his experience in governance and regional development.
“I am here to seek your guidance, learn from your wisdom, and improve my ability to serve the people of Edo,” Okpebholo said.
