How a Nigerian Doctor was Poisoned to Death by Relatives After Returning to Village for Christmas
A Nigerian doctor, identified as Tony, tragically passed away after consuming a drink believed to have been poisoned by a relative. The incident occurred in his hometown, Nenu, Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State, on Boxing Day.

According to a Facebook post by one of the doctor’s close friends, Prince Agbara, Tony had been in good health on Christmas Day but fell ill after drinking the contaminated beverage the following day. He reportedly vomited before passing away shortly after. The friend revealed that upon realizing the doctor had died, the suspect fled the village with his family.
“This is heartbreaking. He was alive and well on the 25th, only to be poisoned the next day. After seeing my friend’s death, the person responsible ran away with his family,” Agbara wrote in his post.
