Pregnant Woman Kills Husband’s Alleged Side Chick by Setting Her on Fire in Kubwa, Abuja

A tragic incident occurred in Kubwa, Abuja, where a pregnant woman is reported to have fatally set her husband’s alleged mistress on fire. According to reports, the woman suspected the victim of being her husband’s lover, and the two had crossed paths on Christmas Day.

A social media user, Biola, shared the disturbing details, stating that the suspect doused the woman with petrol before setting her alight. The victim was quickly taken to the National Hospital but unfortunately succumbed to her injuries. Biola commented, “A pregnant woman in Kubwa poured petrol on a lady she believed was her husband’s side chick, and though she was rushed to the hospital, she later passed away from the burns.”
Biola further added, “This is clearly a case of murder, and the woman responsible is likely to spend the rest of her life behind bars. Once you take another person’s life, your own life is essentially over.”
Another online user confirmed the story and mentioned that the victim was buried the following day at Gudu Cemetery in Abuja, noting, “I swear this happened on my street. I know both the victim and the perpetrator. She was buried at Gudu Cemetery yesterday. It’s heartbreaking that a national issue led to the death of another woman. I’m relieved she got justice, though, as the husband seemed to be flaunting his power with the police.”
The incident has sparked widespread condemnation, with many criticizing the pregnant woman’s extreme actions. Social media users expressed their outrage:
@CountessViktoria wrote, “You don’t own anyone. If things aren’t working, walk away. Taking a life is never an option. God, please.”
@sirbez commented, “Taking another person’s life is the end of your own life as you know it.”
@Joan_Afc added, “Now the husband will just get more mistresses. She’s gone, but he’ll carry on with his life.”
The community is left in shock as the events unfold, highlighting the destructive consequences of unchecked jealousy and violence.
