Wike Cancels 568 Land Allocations in Abuja Due to Unpaid C-Of-O Fees; See Names of Holders

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has annulled the allocation of 568 land plots in Abuja for failure to settle outstanding Certificates of Occupancy (C of O) fees.

According to a public notice from the FCT Administration, the affected landowners, who hold plots in Maitama II, Cadastral Zone A10, failed to pay their C of O fees despite a grace period granted by the minister.

The notice clarified that the land allocations were revoked in line with Section 28 of the Land Use Act of 1978, due to the allottees’ failure to comply with the payment terms. However, it also stated that those who completed their payments by January 15, 2025, are exempt from the revocation.
