Nigerians Are Suffering Due to Anti-People Policies – Bode George Calls Out Tinubu

Bode George, the former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has urged President Bola Tinubu to put an end to the hardships Nigerians are enduring due to his policies. In a statement about the nation’s current state, George emphasized the growing frustration and hunger among the population.

Speaking to reporters in Lagos on Friday, the PDP leader appealed to the president to address the economic challenges facing the country.

He said: “My message to President Tinubu is straightforward: Nigerians are hungry and frustrated. As the Commander-in-Chief and the head of the economy, now is the time to take action and alleviate the people’s suffering.”

“There is no special market for APC or PDP members; all Nigerians share the same market. Everyone is feeling the impact of the government’s policies. Bola Tinubu must take a step back and ask himself: are the people benefiting from my administration’s actions?”

“When he assumed office in 2023, a litre of petrol cost less than N200, and the exchange rate was under N800 to a dollar. Look at the situation now. What is this administration’s economic strategy? President Tinubu, Nigerians deserve an immediate answer to this pressing question.”

Lastly, George expressed concern about the potential effects of global shifts on Nigeria’s stability, especially considering the political unrest in neighboring Francophone countries. He warned that the country needs to be prepared for any challenges that may arise.
