Clarifying the Facts – Governor Fubara Responds to Allegations in Tinubu’s Address

It is crucial to bring to the attention of the security agencies that the Local Government Areas (LGAs) targeted by these recent attacks are the same regions that have consistently been hotbeds of violence, often caused by those opposing the Governor Fubara-led administration.
Therefore, it is essential for security forces to focus their efforts on identifying the actual instigators of violence. A thorough and unbiased investigation is necessary to uncover the individuals responsible for these crimes and ensure they are held accountable without delay or obstruction.
It is completely false to suggest that someone who has consistently advocated for peace and non-violence, even in the face of severe provocation, would be involved in “orchestrating attacks on oil pipelines” or undermining the very peace he has tirelessly worked to uphold for the benefit of the State’s citizens.
Signed,
Nelson Chukwudi
Chief Press Secretary to the Governor
