As the election draws near, we need to sit down and think carefully: Are we voting for the right people, or are we just voting based on party names?

The truth is, Nigeria’s problems today are not because we don’t have elections. It’s because we keep voting for people who don’t have good character—people who are not honest, who don’t care about the people, and who only think about themselves. A bad leader will remain a bad leader, no matter the party.

The Problems We’re Facing Today

Look around Nigeria today and you’ll see many of the problems we are suffering from are because we put the wrong people in power. These problems didn’t happen overnight. They were caused by leaders who lacked integrity, compassion, and proper vision.

Here are just a few of the issues we’re dealing with:

Insecurity: From kidnappings to bandit attacks, people can no longer sleep with both eyes closed. Our roads are not safe. Our homes are not safe.

Unemployment: Millions of young people are jobless, even after going to school. There are no good job opportunities, and many have given up hope.

Poor education: Many of our public schools have no teachers, no chairs, no toilets, and students are learning under trees.

Bad roads and lack of infrastructure: In many parts of the country, roads are in terrible shape. No water, no steady electricity, no health centers.

Corruption: Government money is being stolen every day, while ordinary people are struggling to eat or pay rent.

High cost of living: Prices of food, fuel, transport, and basic needs are rising every day. Salaries are not increasing, but suffering is.

All these problems continue because we have allowed people with no good intentions, no plans, and no character to lead us. That must stop.

Let’s Stop Voting Based on Popular Party Names

A lot of people vote based on party loyalty. They say things like, “This is the party I know,” or “They’ve been ruling for a long time.” But if the person we are voting for is not qualified, honest, or caring, then we are only adding more pain to our lives.

It’s time to start voting for the person, not just the party.

What Makes a Good Candidate?

If we want to see real change, we must support candidates who have good character and the right mindset. Here are the traits of a good candidate:

1. Honesty and Integrity

They keep their promises and don’t lie to the people.

2. Empathy and Care for the People

They understand the everyday struggles people face and are ready to help.

3. Clear Vision and Practical Plans

They have real ideas and steps on how to solve our problems—not just empty promises.

4. Accountability

They are ready to answer for their actions and are not afraid to be questioned.

5. Competence and Experience

They know how to get things done and have the skills to lead properly.

A good leader is not just popular—they are responsible, trustworthy, and ready to serve.

The Obedient Movement Group: Who We Are

The Obedient Movement Group (OMG) is not a political party. We are a people-driven movement that supports candidates who have good personality and a heart for the people—no matter the party they belong to.

Our mission is to support honest, capable individuals who want to rescue Nigeria from bad leadership. We believe that the country can only move forward when people with good values are elected.

Our vision is a better Nigeria—led by leaders who care about everyone, not just the rich and powerful. We want to see a country where jobs are created, children get quality education, roads are fixed, and people are safe and happy.

Your Vote Still Counts

Some say, “Why should I vote? They will rig it anyway.” But look at what happened in the last general election—the Labour Party won in Lagos, a place many thought was impossible. They also won in Abuja. That’s because the people came out in large numbers and voted.

This proves that when we vote together, we can win—no matter what party they say is “strong.”

We, the People, Are the Real Structure and we are stronger together

They say “this movement has no structure.” But what structure is greater than the people themselves? When we unite and vote for a candidate with good personality, that is the strongest structure any movement can have.

We don’t need political godfathers. We need unity and one voice.

Let’s Do the Right Thing

Let’s stop voting blindly. Ask yourself:

Does this person truly care about the people?

Are they honest and truthful?

Do they have plans to solve real problems?

Can they be trusted to lead?

What has been their impact in community before showing interest for elective positions?

Let’s vote for someone who will bring light to our future—not someone who will keep us in darkness.

This time, let’s vote wisely. Let’s vote for personality, not just party. Let’s get it right, we shall get there
