Akpabio: Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan Breaks Silence on Viral Video, Calls It False and Malicious
Abuja, Nigeria – Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has categorically disclaimed any association with a viral Facebook livestream broadcast by Sandra C. Duru, describing the content as “manipulated” and “entirely untrue.”
In an official statement released on Thursday, the senator strongly denied making any disparaging remarks against notable individuals, including Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, Dr. Abiola, and members of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), among others. She emphasized that the claims presented in the livestream were baseless and do not reflect her views or statements.
Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan further alleged that Ms. Duru may be acting in pursuit of a personal or political agenda, using fabricated content to mislead the public and damage reputations. She urged members of the public and the media to exercise discernment and verify information before accepting or disseminating it.
“This is a deliberate attempt to misrepresent my position and sow discord,” the senator stated. “I remain committed to respectful dialogue and the principles of truth and integrity in public discourse.”
Efforts are reportedly underway to explore legal options in response to the incident, as the senator reiterated her commitment to transparency and responsible communication.
