SDP National Chairman Suspended Amid Misconduct Allegations

In a statement issued by the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC), the suspension was described as a necessary move to safeguard the integrity and discipline of the organization. The decision, according to the committee, followed a series of internal reviews and consultations with senior party stakeholders.
Allegations of Ethical Breaches
Although the party did not release full details of the allegations, sources within the SDP revealed that the suspended chairman had been accused of abuse of office, financial mismanagement, and actions considered detrimental to the unity of the party.
“These are serious breaches that cannot be ignored,” said a senior member of the NEC, who spoke on condition of anonymity. “The party must hold its leaders accountable, regardless of their position.”
Interim Leadership Appointed
Following the suspension, the NEC announced the appointment of the Deputy National Chairman to serve in an acting capacity until a full investigation is concluded. The interim leader is expected to oversee day
