PRINCE (DR.) THOMAS OLALEYE OGUNGBANGBE GREETS OSUN EAST MUSLIMS ON HIJRAH 1447AH, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO PEOPLE-DRIVEN LEADERSHIP

As the crescent moon ushers in a new beginning, we, the Ogungbangbe Movement Media Team (OMMT), joyfully felicitate with all our Muslim brothers and sisters across Osun East Senatorial District on the occasion of Hijrah 1447AH, the Islamic New Year.

Indeed, this season reminds us of the historic migration of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) from Makkah to Madinah, a journey not just of movement, but of purpose, courage, and deep faith in Allah. It is a time for spiritual reflection, renewed commitment to righteousness, and a fresh start in our dealings with fellow humans and with our Creator.

As the Qur’an says in Surah At-Tawbah, verse 20:

_*”Those who believed and migrated and strove hard in Allah’s cause with their wealth and lives are far higher in rank in Allah’s sight. And it is they who will triumph.” (Qur’an 9:20)*

We use this sacred moment to pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) blesses your homes with peace, mercy, good health, and provisions that will never run dry. May this new year be a turning point for greatness, unity, and abundant blessings in your lives and in our dear Osun East.

In the spirit of Hijrah, which symbolizes movement towards betterment, we call on all well-meaning indigene of Osun East to also embrace a political Hijrah, a shift towards visionary, responsive, and people-centred leadership. That is what our principal, Prince (Dr) Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe (Tom-Perry) stands for: a true son of the soil, a man of integrity and compassion. Tom-Perry has shown over time that leadership is not about title, but service. He is not new to giving, he is not new to community building, and he is not new to empowering lives across the grassroots. His vision for Osun East is clear: Quality representation, infrastructural development, youth and women empowerment, and inclusive governance.

As the 2027 general elections approach, we humbly call on our Muslim faithful, and indeed all citizens of Osun East, to support and rally behind Prince (Dr) Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe.

Let us walk this new year together with renewed hope, unity, and a shared purpose to build a better Osun East.

May Allah (SWT) guide us all and crown our efforts with success.
