State Governors that are Expected to Join APC Within Two Months — Party Official Reveal

APC

Ijeoma Arodiogbu, the National Vice Chairman (Southeast) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has revealed that governors from Bayelsa, Rivers, Plateau, Kano, and either Abia or Enugu states are poised to join the APC in the coming two months.

Speaking against rumors about the formation of an opposition coalition, Arodiogbu dismissed such claims as mere media theatrics. He emphasized that the majority of politicians remain loyal to the APC rather than the proposed opposition alliance.

“We anticipate that within the next two months, governors from Bayelsa, Rivers, Plateau, Kano, and either Abia or Enugu will formally declare their allegiance to the APC,” he stated.

Calling the opposition coalition “a media stunt,” he added, “Nigerians are gravitating toward a party that is making tangible progress, which is the APC. Bayelsa, in particular, remains central to this movement.”

Additionally, Arodiogbu hinted at the possibility of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke switching to the APC, although he did not confirm this outright. He also mentioned that the party is considering potential defections from Abia’s Governor Alex Otti and the governor of Enugu State.

The newly formed opposition coalition, which includes notable Nigerian figures and was established a few months ago, is reportedly still evaluating which political platform to officially support.
