Lukman: No Shortcuts, ADC’s 2027 Presidential Ticket Must Be Earned Through Primaries

Salihu Lukman, a former Deputy National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has stated that any aspirant hoping to represent the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the 2027 presidential election will need to secure the party’s nomination through a transparent and competitive primary process.
Lukman emphasized that the coalition is determined to avoid the missteps seen in previous elections involving figures like ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Labour Party candidate Peter Obi. According to him, the ADC is committed to a more credible and inclusive approach in choosing its flagbearer.
