Prince Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe PhD. Urges Osun East Residents to Get Ready for Voter Registration.*

As Nigerians gear up for the 2025 nationwide Continuous Voter Registration exercise, the good people of Osun East Senatorial District have been advised to take this opportunity seriously by ensuring they get registered and are fully prepared to participate in the next general election.

This advice was given by Prince Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe, PhD, through a statement released by Ogungbangbe Media Front (OMF). In the statement, Prince Ogungbangbe appealed especially to the youth and all eligible citizens aged 18 and above to engage in the voter registration process.

He says, “It is not enough to have opinions about politics or to follow it on social media; the real power lies in your Permanent Voter Card (PVC). Without it, you can’t vote, and if you can’t vote, your voice cannot be heard where it matters most.”

The online pre-registration begins on Monday, August 18, 2025, via the INEC official portal (cvr.inecnigeria.org), while the in-person registration at INEC offices across the local government areas will commence on Monday, August 25, 2025.

Prince Ogungbangbe stressed the need for massive mobilisation across towns and villages in Osun East, covering places like Ilesa, Ile-Ife, Ijebu-Jesa, Modakeke, and beyond, urging traditional leaders, community heads, religious institutions, youth groups, and civil society organisations to join hands in encouraging young people, especially first-time voters, to take part in the exercise.

“We must shape the future of our land, and it starts by participating in the democratic process. Let’s not sit back and complain after elections; let’s be part of the decision-making. That power begins with registration,” he added.

Prince Ogungbangbe concluded by reminding the people that voting is not just a civic right but a sacred responsibility. He called on every indigene and resident of Osun East to spread the message, assist others with information, and ensure that no eligible voter is left behind.
