“I Regret Voting for Tinubu – I Can’t Even Buy a ₦100 Airtime Card,” Says Former APC Loyalist

A former supporter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has stirred widespread conversation online after expressing deep regret over his 2023 election choice. The individual, who posted anonymously, revealed that the economic hardship under the current administration has left him unable to afford even the most basic needs — including a ₦100 recharge card.

The confession, shared via a link by X (formerly Twitter) user @Wizarab10, quickly went viral and sparked intense discussions on the platform.

In the message, the disgruntled voter admitted to once backing the All Progressives Congress (APC) with unwavering enthusiasm. However, he now feels betrayed by the state of the economy and is warning fellow Nigerians not to repeat the same mistake in the 2027 elections.

> “I honestly don’t know what to do with my life anymore,” the message read. “I was a strong supporter of this government, and now I can’t even afford a 100 naira airtime card. I regret 2023 deeply. Don’t let Tinubu return. May God come through for me.”

Mixed Reactions Flood Social Media:

As expected, Nigerians on X had a lot to say:

@Xmatt_debrisky: “I’m a proud Tinubu supporter and I fix phones for a living. Maybe try getting a job instead of whining.”

@VictoriousDre: “You made your bed during the elections. Don’t expect divine help now.”

@BishopSammyeL: “You can’t buy airtime but you’re online complaining? Pick one struggle, bro.”

@alphalathy: “There’s never been a political messiah in Nigeria. If you want out of poverty, you have to grind your way through.”

@harntoney: “You’re confused about your life? No surprise you supported him in the first place.”

The post continues to generate buzz, highlighting the growing discontent among some who once had high hopes for the current administration.
