Bauchi’s Zaar Communities Pledge Support for Tinubu Following Dogara’s Appointment

The Zaar (Sayawa) communities in Bauchi State have expressed profound appreciation for the appointment of former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, as Chairman of the National Credit Guarantee Company (NCGC), describing it as a proud moment for their people.
During a press conference held on Sunday in Tafawa Balewa, community leaders celebrated Dogara’s elevation and pledged their continued support for President Bola Tinubu, whose administration made the appointment.
Warrant Officer (Retired) Emmanuel Peter, Chairman of the Nigerian Legion in Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area, led the briefing, emphasizing that Dogara’s new role marks a historic milestone for the Zaar people.
“This appointment is a turning point for us,” Peter said. “It signifies not only national recognition of Yakubu Dogara’s capacity but also a deep honour to the entire Zaar land. We are here today to express our collective gratitude and reaffirm our full confidence in his leadership.”
He noted that the event drew widespread participation from men, women, and youth across the communities, underlining the deep respect and admiration the people have for Dogara.
Peter highlighted Dogara’s longstanding contributions to the development of Zaar land, citing significant infrastructure projects in education, healthcare, and public services. He also praised the former Speaker for facilitating federal appointments for many Zaar youths, giving them a sense of security and purpose.
“For years, Dogara has exemplified selfless service, integrity, and commitment to the betterment of our land. His efforts have transformed lives and given our people a stronger voice at the national level,” Peter said.
The community, he added, views Dogara’s appointment as a reflection of President Tinubu’s recognition of merit and competence. As a result, the Zaar nation has vowed to stand firmly behind the president ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“We sincerely thank President Tinubu for entrusting this critical role to one of our own. Our people are united, and we will not forget this gesture. Come 2027, the Zaar community will give its full support,” Peter concluded, also offering prayers for Dogara’s success and continued service to the nation.
