The 2025 edition of the Prof. Fola Adedoyin Annual Students Competition shone brightly on Friday, 31st October 2025, at the Ipetu Ijesa Town Hall. The event, proudly organized by the Pace-Setters Club, Ipetu Ijesa, was one of the great events of this year’s Aropeju Celebration, drawing together the crème of young scholars from primary, junior, and senior secondary schools across the town.

The atmosphere was charged with excitement, intellectual brilliance, and heartfelt celebration of excellence, a true testament to the club’s enduring commitment to education, empowerment, and community development.

Awards and Prizes that Inspire
Winners in the three academic categories received handsome prizes as follows:
1st Position: ₦100,000
2nd Position: ₦75,000
3rd Position: ₦50,000

Beyond the cash prizes, winners were also rewarded with dictionaries, high-quality school bags, mathematical sets, calculators, and medals. In a touching show of support, their second-term school fees were also fully paid by the club.
Scholarship Awards:
One of the day’s most memorable moments was the presentation of free WAEC scholarships to 30 indigent students, generously sponsored by Dr. Paul Bakare, the distinguished Patron of the Pace-Setters Club. The scholarship, covering the 2026 WAEC examination fees, will enable deserving students to pursue their academic dreams without financial barriers.

Special Recognitions and Awards of Excellence
The ceremony also recognized outstanding individuals whose support and commitment have elevated the Pace-Setters Club’s educational mission to greater heights.

Bakare Paul received the Award of Excellence for All-Time Sponsorship, in recognition of his consistent generosity and unflinching dedication to empowering the next generation.

Engr. Olowu Sunday, MNSE, was honoured with the Award of Golden Sponsorship Excellence, applauded for his golden heart and remarkable contributions to youth development.
Mrs. Adekunle Iyabo Monisola, the club’s Patroness, was celebrated with an Award of Excellence for her inspiring leadership and unwavering support.

In addition, educational institutions that stood out for their performance and impact were duly recognized:
Air Force Primary School was crowned Best Primary School of the Year,
while Immaculate International School proudly clinched the Best Junior and Senior Secondary School Award.
Both winning schools were presented with writing materials and textbooks to further enhance their teaching and learning resources.

The event was graced by dignitaries and club members, including Pastor Oluwayemi Oladimeji, who represented Dr. Paul Bakare, and Mrs. Adekunle Monilola, Patroness of the club.
