N13.7BN PAYROLL FRAUD SCANDAL: APC DEMANDS RESIGNATION OF ADELEKE’S CHIEF OF STAFF, AKINLEYE

PRESS STATEMENT. (27TH FEBRUARY, 2026).
N13.7 BN PAYROLL FRAUD: *Why You Should Tender Your Letter Of Resignation*
– APC Slams Adeleke’s CoS Akinleye
The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC has described the current Chief of Staff to Governor Ademola Adeleke as the worst public officer occupying that office since the creation of the 34-year-old state.
The alleged involvement of the CoS, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye, in the raging N13. 7 billion payroll fraud rocking the administration of Governor Adeleke as espoused by the Vice Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Sally Tibbot Consulting Limited, Saadat Ottun, that has gone viral, is an indication to the fact that an organisation cannot be better than the quality of the people working in such establishment.
It is now understood that Governor Adeleke has been getting everything wrong about his waning and unpopular administration simply because those who are manning the key sectors of his government are grossly deficient in managerial skills as exhibited by his Chief of Staff who is adept in the use of gutter languages as leaked by the recording of his altercations with the CEO of Sally Tibbot Consulting Limited.
That a character like Akinleye could be occupying such a sensitive office in the Osun State Government under the incumbent administration of Governor Adeleke is an insult to the sensibility of the vibrant and well-educated people of the state and it was a pity that the raw, crude, rude and unpolished Chief of Staff had bungled a golden opportunity to act as a good ambassador of the State of the Virtuous.
One wonders what could have emboldened Akinleye to have reduced the governance of the state to an extension of the estate of his principal in his family’s country home in the ancient town of Ede as he arrogantly displayed during his unwarranted altercation with the Sally Tibbot boss.
It is wicked and inhuman for Akinleye to have exploited the opportunity of the verifiable lack of administrative know-how of his principal to have turned himself to a plenipotentiary Chief of Staff with the power of life and death under the administration of Governor Adeleke whose government is being run by proxy traceable to his irredeemable ineptitude in the public office.
A cursory appraisal of the past Chiefs of Staff in the state starting from Elder Peter Babalola under former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola and Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola under the former Governor Rauf Aregbesola, revealed that there cannot be any meeting point between them and the incumbent CoS who has hijacked the government from his supposed principal for self-serving purposes.
It was the dearth of competent manpower which is part of the banes of the Adeleke administration that unduly catapulted Akinleye to such an exalted office that has strangely been turned to a mining site for scrambling for illicit money and unmerited opportunities by the political acolytes of Governor Adeleke.
If Akinleye can be honest enough and put himself side-by-side with the Chiefs of Staff in other states, it would not be pretty difficult for him to know that he is a misfit in the office as none of them are short-changed with his type of carriage, pedigree and educational attainments.
We, in our party, have been following the obnoxious and primitive actions and inactions of the Adeleke CoS since he assumed office over three years ago and hereby resolved that Akinleye should resign his appointment without further delay as he has brought more than enough monumental shame to the people of this state.
