Aisha Yesufu Calls President Tinubu “Bad Person” in Response to Ndume

Activist and politician Aisha Yesufu has sharply criticized President Bola Tinubu, branding him a “bad person” amid Nigeria’s ongoing economic struggles. Her remarks were triggered by Senator Ali Ndume’s recent comments, which attributed the country’s economic difficulties to the president’s close aides.
Senator Ndume, who represents Borno South, expressed concern that some individuals surrounding Tinubu are promoting “harmful policies” that worsen economic conditions, instead of tackling pressing issues such as inflation and exchange rate stabilization. He noted the alarming increases in fuel, food, and essential goods prices, calling for urgent action from the government.
Yesufu supported Ndume’s views, stating that the current economic crisis is a direct reflection of poor leadership. She criticized Tinubu’s administration for failing to alleviate the hardships faced by ordinary Nigerians, asserting that the president’s choices and those advising him are harming the nation’s well-being.
In his defense, Ndume remarked, “Those determined to make the President look bad will continue to inflict pain on Nigerians through these so-called reforms. The blame will fall on President Tinubu.” He expressed his belief that Tinubu genuinely cares for the country, but suggested that some advisors do not have the public’s best interests at heart.
In her response on X, Yesufu stated, “Tinubu is the bad person. Let’s call a spade a spade, not a garden implement.”
