CEO of D-Hotel Cries Out: My Life Is in Danger for Exposing Police Extortion
CEO of D-Hotel Cries Out: My Life Is in Danger for Exposing Police Extortion

My name is Alake Femi George , also known as Dammy 1. The Chief Executive Officer of D-Hotel, Ipetu Ijesa
I’m putting this out for the world to see because I’ve been receiving serious threats after I stood up for innocent people in town Ipetu Ijesa, Osun State. These are people who were arrested without cause and forced to pay huge amounts of money as bail—completely illegal. I also posted a video on Facebook, calling out how police officers in Ipetu Ijesa extort money from traders and residents during market days at checkpoints inside town.

Dammy-I Accusing Nigeria Police of extortion of residents and traders

Dammy-1 threatening post online
Since then, instead of investigating the wrongdoings, I’ve been facing threats for speaking the truth.
So I want to make this clear: If anything happens to me, these three people should be held responsible:
CSP Oluwole Adebayo – DPO, Ipetu Ijesa Police 👮 division
Inspector Olaniyan Muili
The Oloriodo of Ipetu Ijesa, Mr Mayowa
I am also calling on the following authorities to take this matter seriously and investigate thoroughly:
*The Inspector General of Police*
*Commisoner of Police Osun State*
*Zone 11 AIG *
*Police Service Commission*
*National Human Rights Commission*
*Osun State Government*
*His Royal Majesty Ajalaye of Ipetu Ijesha*
*Former Chief of the Defence Staff of Nigeria Chief Oluseyi Petinrin *
*Fedral House Oriade/Obokun Rep. Hon. Busayo Oluwole Oke.*
*Civil Society and Human Rights Organizations*
*Media Houses and Journalists*
I only did what’s right—stood up for my people and asked that the law be followed. I am not safe at the moment, and I want the public to know what’s going on.
E- Signed,
Alake Femi George(Dammy 1)
