Court Refuses Bail for Suspected PDP Thug Tunde Ogini(Bongo), Sets December 9–10 for Speedy Hearing

Tunde Bongo
A Federal High Court sitting in Osogbo has refused the bail application filed on behalf of the alleged vicious PDP thug, Tunde Oginni (aka Tunde Bongo) in the case between the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) and the defendant.
In a well-considered ruling delivered today, the court held that the nature of the offences for which Oginni was charged did not warrant the granting of bail at this stage. The judge, however, emphasized the need for speedy trial and subsequently ordered an accelerated hearing of the case.
The matter was adjourned to December 9 and 10, 2025, for the prosecution to open its case against the defendant.
Tunde Oginni Bongo, described as a member of the Osun PDP killer-squad, has been linked to multiple murders of the APC members in Ilesa and its environs, including the gruesome murder of Ebenezer Alaro who was traced from campaign rally and shot infront of his father’s house at Araromi Street, Ilesa, in 2023.
