Father Kills His 6-Year-Old Daughter for money ritual in Delta
In a shocking incident, Sankey Ovemureye is alleged to have killed his six-year-old daughter, Abigail Stanley, for ritual purposes in the Uviama New Layout, Agbarho community, located in the Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
Reports indicate that Ovemureye fled the scene after brutally smashing the young girl’s head.
The tragic event took place on June 15th.
Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident in a statement released on Sunday.
Edafe revealed that the Divisional Police Officer of Agbarho recovered the child’s body, noting that her head had been repeatedly smashed against the wall. The body has been taken to the mortuary, and the suspect, the girl’s father, is currently on the run.
In response, Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Abaniwonda Olufemi, has launched a manhunt for Ovemureye.
CP Olufemi assured the public that the suspect will be apprehended and face justice. He also urged anyone with information leading to the suspect’s capture to contact the Control Room at 0803684974 or visit the nearest p
