FG Seeks EU’s Help to Extradite Simon Ekpa

Major General Edward Buba, the Director of Defence Media Operations, has announced that the federal government is engaging with the European Union regarding Simon Ekpa’s extradition.
This statement follows Ekpa’s recent social media announcement setting December 2, 2024, as the date for presenting a map and formally declaring the Biafra Republic.
General Buba clarified that while military operations against the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Eastern Security Network (ESN) will continue, the government is also pursuing diplomatic avenues to secure Ekpa’s return from Finland.
“The federal government will address the Finnish authorities through the EU. Concurrently, military efforts against IPOB and ESN will persist,” General Buba stated.
Simon Ekpa, leader of the Biafra Government in Exile (BRGIE), revealed plans to unveil the “40 United States of Biafra” map and make an official declaration on December 2, 2024. Ekpa, who describes himself as the Prime Minister of BRGIE, aims to accelerate Biafra’s quest for independence through this announcement.
