Giant Yam Harvest in Jos, Plateau State (Photos)
This morning, while I was fetching water, I noticed a crowd gathering in a compound, and their excited shouts piqued my curiosity. When I took a closer look, I was amazed to see enormous tubers of yam unlike anything I’ve ever encountered. People were clamoring to take photos, and many tried to buy them, but the prices were too high for most.
An interview with the woman who harvested the yams revealed her astonishment at the size of the yield. She humorously remarked that perhaps her special status contributed to such a remarkable harvest, which brought laughter from those around her.
