Hail Obaseki as PDP wins all 18 LGs in Edo council poll
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won all 18 chairperson seats in the LGA election held in Edo state on Saturday, September 2.
Before the election took place, four of the seven political parties that initially registered to participate in the elections collapsed their structures for the PDP.
The parties include Action Alliance (AA); Allied Peoples Movement (APM); Accord (A) and African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Governor Godwin Obaseki said he was satisfied with the conduct of LGA elections in the state, adding that he was surprised at the level of voter turnout despite the rain.
