In 2027, PDP Should Avoid Nomination of Atiku, Primate Ayodele Warns

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of the Inri Evangelical Church, has issued a strong warning to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) regarding its choice for the 2027 presidential ticket. He prophesies that the party will face severe consequences if it selects Atiku Abubakar as its candidate.
According to reports from Legit.ng, Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president of Nigeria, has sought the presidency six times without success: in 1993, 2007, 2011, 2015, 2019, and 2023. His most recent attempts were through the PDP, though he also contested in the Social Democratic Party (SDP) primaries in 1993.
On August 15, in a video posted on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Ayodele cautioned that if Atiku is once again nominated as the PDP’s presidential candidate in 2027, the party will face certain defeat. He stated, “If PDP wants to ensure its failure, they should give the presidential ticket to Atiku. It will be an easy win for the APC. Atiku is not the solution for PDP in 2027. If they choose him, it will mark the end of PDP.”
