Joy Fills Ilemo Ijesa as Oba Samuel Adedeji Oguntoye is Crowned Onilemo of Ilemo Ijesa

Yesterday, Friday, August 22nd, 2025, the people of Ilemo Ijesa and the entire Ijaregbe Kingdom came out in joy and celebration as Oba Samuel Adedeji Akanbi Oguntoye was officially installed as the new Onilemo of Ilemo Ijesa.

The ceremony took place at Ijaregbe Ijesa Kingdom, with many sons, daughters of the land, friends and dignitaries coming together to witness the historic event. The installation was led by HRM Oba Edward Adedayo Adetimo, the Olomu of Ijaregbe Ijesa Kingdom, along with many respected traditional rulers from across Ijesaland. High Chief Lejoofi welcomed everyone and prayed for peace and progress for the land. During the event, the anchor encouraged the new Onilemo to continue doing good things for the community, just as he had always done. In response, Oba Samuel Adedeji Oguntoye promised to complete an ongoing community project as soon as possible.

The DPO of Zone C, CSP Yusuf Aminu, was also in attendance, ensuring peace and order throughout the event.

The vote of thanks was given by the Odole of Ijaregbe, who thanked everyone for their support and presence.

Reception Continues at Hi-Lyte Event Center

As the installation ceremony was being celebrated in Ijaregbe Kingdom and Ilemo Ijesa town, the celebration continued later in the day at Hy-Lyte Event Center, where guests were treated to more music, food, dance, and joyful fellowship.

It was truly a joyful day for the people of Ilemo Ijesa and Ijaregbe Kingdom, as they welcomed their new king with prayers, music, and celebration.
