Kidnapped Traditional Ruler in Nasarawa Rescued by Security Forces

His Royal Highness, Emmanuel Sarki Omanji, the Sangari of Dari in Kokona Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, has been successfully rescued by security operatives following his abduction by unidentified gunmen.
The traditional ruler was kidnapped from his residence in Dari village along Amba Road at approximately 8:00 p.m. on May 28, 2025. His captors had reportedly stormed the area under the cover of darkness and fled with him to an undisclosed location.
According to reliable security sources, the monarch was rescued unharmed at around 9:00 p.m. on June 2 during a coordinated operation in the Panwasa Mountains near Mada Station. The successful rescue came after several days of intensive search and sustained pressure mounted by security forces.
Following his rescue, His Royal Highness was immediately transported to the General Hospital in Garaku for a thorough medical assessment. He has since been declared stable and reunited with his family.
Authorities have yet to confirm whether any arrests were made in connection with the abduction, but investigations are ongoing.
