Lawyer Shares Unconventional Way to Acquire Landed Property in Nigeria for Free
A Nigerian lawyer recently shared a surprising tip on social media on how to acquire a house for free. He advised people to occupy an abandoned house and live there for 10-12 years. According to him, after this period, the house becomes theirs through adverse possession.
The lawyer explained that if the original owner doesn’t claim the property within the 10-12 years, the occupant can plead adverse possession in court and become the rightful owner. He joked that occupants should ensure they have strong spiritual protection, as the original owner might not take kindly to the loss of their property.
