Missing three-year-old boy who went missing after the Eid-el-Alda Prayer on Sunday has been found

A three-year-old boy named Abdul-Muqsit Willoughby, who went missing shortly after the Eid-el-Adha prayer on Sunday, June 16, 2024, has been located following coverage by FIRST CLASS GISTSÂ
In an excited phone conversation with our correspondent on Monday, the toddler’s father, Fuad, shared that Abdul-Muqsit was dropped off on a nearby street by an unknown driver. Earlier, FIRST CLASS GISTS had reported his disappearance from their family home on Ajagun Lane in Lagos Island, Lagos.
Fuad explained that on the day of the incident, he had left his son in the compound with family members while he participated in the ram slaughtering. “I do not live in Lagos. I only came for the Sallah holiday at my parents’ house. When we came back from the Eid prayer ground, I was busy with the ram slaughtering,” he said.
“He was seen sitting with my mother and nephew, who is a little child as well. My mother is not physically fit, so she did not know when he left her side,” Fuad added.
Regarding the recovery of Abdul-Muqsit, Fuad expressed gratitude to FIRST CLASS GISTS for publicizing the situation, noting that the boy was subsequently taken to the hospital for medical evaluation.
“A black Jeep dropped him off at Beecroft. The place is not far from our house. The people who witnessed it did not realize that it was a child that was dropped off. They said the driver hurriedly zoomed off immediately after. It was only when they got closer that they realized what had happened,” Fuad recounted.
He further mentioned that Abdul-Muqsit’s pictures were widely circulated in the neighborhood, facilitating his prompt identification and safe return to his family.
