NFF Appoints Aliyu Zubairu as New Head Coach for Flying Eagles Ahead of Major U-20 Championship

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has appointed Aliyu Zubairu as the new head coach for the Nigeria U-20 men’s football team, the Flying Eagles. This appointment comes following Zubairu’s successful tenure with El-Kanemi Warriors, where he guided the team to victory in the President Federation Cup against Abia Warriors FC in Lagos this past June. Additionally, he played a key role in securing the team’s promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
Zubairu will now focus on assembling and preparing the team for the upcoming WAFU B U-20 Championship, scheduled to be hosted by Togo from October to November 2024. This tournament will determine the representative for the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations next ye
