Niger Delta Minister Reveals Niger Delta Int’l Festival, Trade Expo In Abuja

A prestigious dinner event was held to unveil the upcoming Niger Delta International Festival and Trade Expo, organized by KenEva Consult Ltd, KenRich Global Consult Ltd, and Brevity Anderson. The event, which took place at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja on August 6, 2024, attracted notable figures from various sectors.

Among the distinguished guests were the Niger Delta Minister, Engr. Abubakar Momoh; the Minister of Finance, Wale Edun; the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar A. Bagudu, represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry; the Chief Executive of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), Farouk Ahmed; a representative of the CEO of Zenith Bank Plc, Adaora Umeoji; and representatives from SEPLAT, among others.

This dinner serves as a precursor to the highly anticipated Niger Delta International Festival and Trade Expo, which will take place later this year. The event will also feature the Niger Delta Economic and Investment Summit 2024, both of which are organized in partnership with the Ministry of Niger Delta and Brevity Anderson.
Previously, the Ministry and KenEva Consult Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Abuja to facilitate the successful hosting of these events.
Ambassador Kenule Nwiya, the founder of the Niger Delta International Festival and Trade Expo, explained to the media that the festival and expo are strategically designed to benefit the people of the Niger Delta region through economic empowerment, cultural exhibitions, and trade opportunities.
“We will be offering a charity medical outreach, along with numerous empowerment programs that align with the festival’s structure,” Nwiya stated. “The empowerment initiatives are aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as those involved in promoting local foods, fabrics, and other elements that drive the local economy. This form of empowerment is intended to create sustainable integration.”
The unveiling dinner is part of a series of events leading up to the twin festivals. These initiatives are expected to unlock the economic potential of the Niger Delta region and provide the region’s youth with opportunities to leverage their skills and contribute to the nation’s economic
development.
