PDP Condemns ADC’s Baseless Outburst

…Reiterates Its Strength and Readiness to Defeat Tinubu in 2027

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has noted with disappointment the unwarranted attack launched on national television by Bolaji Abdullahi, the Interim National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Rather than addressing the serious socio-economic challenges plaguing the country, Mr. Abdullahi—better known for his past as the spokesperson of the failed and deceptive All Progressives Congress (APC)—chose instead to lash out at the PDP, confirming what many already suspect: that he and his party are playing into the hands of the APC.

It is telling that Abdullahi’s comments are timed just as the PDP is gaining nationwide support and building serious political momentum to dislodge the APC in the 2027 elections. His attacks are a desperate distraction.

As the primary opposition party in Nigeria, with deep national roots and overwhelming grassroots support, the PDP has no interest in trading words with smaller parties like the ADC. Our focus remains firmly on holding the APC to account and working with Nigerians to deliver a credible, people-centered alternative in 2027.

Despite recent defections, the PDP’s strength lies in the unwavering support of ordinary Nigerians, who continue to rally behind the party in anticipation of true leadership. Our track record of delivering results still resonates across the country, and we remain the most credible political force capable of unseating the APC.

The PDP also boasts a strong pool of presidential contenders—leaders with proven integrity, competence, and nationwide appeal—capable of defeating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and ushering in a new era of progress and stability.

While we remain open to alliances with credible and patriotic individuals and groups committed to rescuing Nigeria from the grip of failed leadership, we will not be sidetracked by politically motivated distractions.

Our energies are fully directed toward the upcoming National Convention, scheduled for November 15–16, 2025 in Ibadan, where we will consolidate our internal unity and prepare for the road ahead.

The PDP remains undeterred, unshaken, and committed to delivering hope, stability, and prosperity to the Nigerian people.

Signed:

Hon. Debo Ologunagba

National Publicity Secretary, PDP
